We are absolutely delighted that Julian Norton is our Patron.
ABOUT JULIAN NORTON
Julian has been working in mixed practice in rural North Yorkshire for the majority of his twenty plus years as a vet, much of this in the market town of Thirsk, made famous by James Herriot. During this time, he has seen many varied cases, unusual animals great and small and has met and become friends with a huge mixture of fascinating farmers and pet owners.
Julian moved to a new independent small animal practice – Sandbeck Veterinary Centre – in Wetherby, West Yorkshire in 2019 and, in March 2021, Norton opened the Thirsk Veterinary Centre with colleagues.
We are a volunteer led charity and do all of our work solely for the benefit of the Ridgebacks in our care. We do our absolute best for the dogs, and find them new forever homes, when their world has fallen apart generally through no fault of their own. Any, and all time, spent working on Rescue matters is done in our own personal time.
We appreciate all help offered by our network of volunteers, who assess dogs coming in for rehoming, help with transport throughout the country and who foster dogs.
If you need to get in contact with us please do not hesitate to do so, as we want to foster strong relationships with our community to further do our best for our dogs.
Thank you
